I started my career in the meetings and events sector in 1997 working for the Institute of Management, organising their portfolio of training events.
I then moved to Shire Hotels, where I was part of the opening team of a new build hotel in the midlands, firstly as their conference manager and later on to regional sales manager.
From there I moved to my present position as conference manager for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, organising all there core conference events including The international Symposium on MND/ALS , the largest conference throughout the world on MND.
I started with just myself in the team gradually progressing to a team of three whereby, I developed a full one stop shop to include events, accommodation and travel for the association.
We organise over 100 events throughout the year, from 10-1000 delegates.
