I am Events Manager at Schroders which is a leading global asset management company, managing assets on behalf of institutional and retail investors and high net worth individuals in 37 offices around the world.
I am involved in organising all manner of events, predominantly for our external UK clients, as well as sponsorship opportunities and hospitality.
Schroders also has events personnel within the wealth management/private bank, charity and international businesses.
I joined Schroders ‘back in the day’ and have seen enormous change over the years within the company’s structure. I am pleased to say that events are now considered a major component of the marketing and business strategies.
Previously I worked for Deutsche Bank, Coca-Cola and Generali in similar roles. Years of events experience has allowed the opportunity to sit on the MPI committee, speak at industry events including EIBTM and feature in events publications. I have even agreed to be a guinea-pig student in launching the CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) qualification in the UK.
Away from work, I live in a land far away from the London office, and fill my off duty with my favourite pastimes: family, cycling and theatre.
